Here is a short comment from Terry on getting the chassis back from the paint shop!
"Well part of her is back from the painter. I got the frame back last Monday. Every weld and every inch of the frame is as smooth as a babies butt. When I pulled in to pick her up all I could see was her glowing in the sunshine at the far end of the lot. I just love this color orange pearl. This is a very different thing for a guy who has always loved black. Anyway I got her home with out a scratch.
You have to under stand I was there to pick her up on Friday and I was really looking forward to having the weekend to start putting her together for the last time, all of a sudden as they brought her over to put on the trailer the wheels on the rotisserie caught on a lip in the pavement and she hit the ground. I think my heart stopped for about a minute. I stood there in shock. Well they picked her up and we rolled her over only to find 2 little chips on the paint. They fixed the chips and then I picked her up on Monday.
Over the week I have been getting all the chassis put back together so when the body is ready we can drop it on and the grill, hood, and side panels. The bottom of the body is painted and they will paint the rest this Monday. Should be putting the body back on this Friday. I will give you an update at that time."
