The car was purchased over the E-bay experience, what a trip! It came form southern Ill., and boy I think half of the states water went through the body at one time or another! Anyway, I replaced the floor boards, complete trunk and both rear wheelwells and all but one of the cross supports for the floors.
The engine is a HO 350 crate with all the bling/bling with flames that Carol wants. The frame and supporting pieces were blasted and powder coated, the color of the car. The engine/transmission color is lighter, as the flames on the finished car will be tipped out with that color blue. Our High School colors are Orange and Blue, so the flames will be primarily those colors, the seats and flamed steering wheel, will have the same flame design in the leather!
The wheels we hope will be Colorado Custom "FIRE" style, 17's fronts and 18's rear. The 700R4 is hooked to a 89 IROC posi with four wheel disc and four wheel air bags for ride height. I am now working on the final body stuff that I feel confident with and then it's off to the body shop for final work. I will keep in touch by adding new photo's as they present themselves.

Progress is being made!
Build update as of November. If some of the photos are a little blurry, it because Carol took the photos while we put the body on the frame and she was really excited! Also, all of the mounting holes lined up when done! I have since taken the body off to get the insulation put on the underside and inside of the car. We used the Cool Ceramic Car insulation sold by RB’s and two gallons did the job for the entire car.
