Larry Besore(602) 548-1587 I have been involved in Hot Rods most of my life. My fathers fault, he always had something around that he was pulling the engine out of, or putting an engine into. Fond memories of one of his stellar achievements, an Allstate (Henry-J) with a BUILT 265, that would really put you into the back of the seat (circa 1959-1960). I took some time off to race off road motorcycles,10-12 years then reentered the scene in 1980 starting a 5 year 1939 Chevy coupe project. Sold that later to start a 1941 Plymouth woody project. About then I got involved with the Over the Hill Gang and the Good-Guys. Really enjoy the many runs we have together with the club and family. |

Fred Elston(602) 953-9208 I went to my first drag race at Lions drag strip at 8 and it was down hill after that. Bought a ‘47 Ford 2-door sedan with an Olds engine and four-speed hydro that was in a box when I was 16. I got it built and painted and drove it to my high school graduation. Had a 57 Chevy, a 40 Ford pick-up. In the 70's and 80's I got into boats and drag boat racing. I now have a ‘30 Chevy 2-door sedan, and I'm building a ‘35 Chevy 2-door sedan chopped, channeled and suicided. |

Carol Elliott(480) 488-4324 My first car was a 1965 Ford Mustang. Even though Dad pushed me towards more "sensible" cars, I had to have the Mustang. He was happy at least it was a Ford! Working with Jerry at Elliott's Auto Electric introduced me to many kinds of cars and I have always enjoyed looking at the many classics and hot rods that came to the shop. I think what I enjoy most about being in the OTHG, is the people you meet and hang out with and I love the traveling with the cars. People are always amazed that we actually drive them, but, hey, they are cars and they are meant to be driven! |

Jerry Elliott(480) 488-4324 I have always been interested in cars, starting with a lowered '48 Ford that I drove to high school. When I got out of the service, I joined the family business, Elliott's Auto Electric, and worked with cars for the next 40 years. During that time I was a member of the Arizona Roamers, a buggy club, for 27 years. My "tow vehicle" was a 1956 Ford big window pick-up with a 390. When I retired from the business I joined the OTHG and continue to enjoy working on my various hot rods and classics! |

Larry Besore(602) 548-1587 The Good-Guy organization is a real pleasure to work with. They bring a lot of professionalism with them, but still have fun doing the event! The liaison job is a little stressful a few days before, and on show day, but all in all very rewarding. We get nearly 100% club member involvement for the various duty assignments every year. Its way cool knowing the club was in part responsible for a successful event. We hope to continue hosting the event for many years to come. |

Conrad Monroe(928) 532-8800 Photography, Computers and Cars have been major interests of mine for most of my life. My 1st car was a '37 Chevy Sedan that I bought for $25, and I have been a fat fender fan since then. Over the years I have been involved in drag racing and off road racing. When I retired I bought my '39 Ford sedan so that Michelle and I could hit the road with Paul and Judy Nolte who were already retired and in the OTHG. Things have worked out great, all my hobbies have come together and we are really enjoying retirement! |
