Annual Poker Run
The Phoenix Chapter Over the Hill Gang holds an annual Poker Run event. It's held in Spring of each year to raise funds for our charities, and to help keep the club running for another year.
50% of the Poker Run profit goes to a charity, Hospice of the valley being one of our favorites.
Each year we try to come up with an interesting, hassle free cruise route. Sometimes we hit a perfect one, sometimes we don't. It is often hard to forecast traffic issues in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
One year we ran through Fountain Hills and around the Cave Creek area, another year we toured the Paradise Valley neighborhoods. In 2008 we headed out to Bartlett Lake! Come on out and spend part of the day with us!
There will be a lot of give away items, and a Chinese auction for theme baskets made up by our club members. We always have a nice assortment of raffle items for participants, donated by club members and supporting businesses.
We hope you will all join us in showing appreciation and patronage to the local businesses that support all of our hobby and us. Some of them are noted on the event shirts, others will be announced during the day. Their generosity and support keeps the hobby we all enjoy alive and well.
