The last Goodguys show of the year has been the Southwest Nationals at West World in Scottsdale, AZ in November where we are the host club. Now with the addition of the Spring Nationals in March we are hosting their 1st show of the year as well.

The format of the show is similar to the fall show with registration opening on Thursday morning followed by the Shop Tours which again ended up at Drew's Shop for dinner. Friday is always a great day to hit the Swap Meet and Vendor Booths before all the spectators hit on Saturday. Saturday is the Show and Shine and a lot of visiting with old friends, followed by the awards on Sunday at the usual 2:22 PM.

After the large turnout at the fall show, we were all thinking that attendance would be way off for the spring show, but we were wrong! According to Gary we had over 1800 entries which is an excellent turn out - especially with all the rain we have had lately. Luckily the rain ended earlier in the week and by Saturday, the field had dried out and we had great weather.

Carrying on a tradition the OTHG-Phoenix once again supplied lunch to all of the OTHG club members at the show, and a few of the more notable guests.

Pete & Mary Golightly's '39 Zephyr received the Low Lid pick and Jim & Jackie Councilman's '49 Suburban received the Best Commercial pick. This show also marked the debut of Fred & Sue Elston's 1935 427 powered highboy sedan. The years of hard work really paid off in a super nice ride.
